Wuyi Rock

Bold and complex profile, chocolatey, smoky and strong, with a surprisingly floral malty infusion. Incredible rock oolong.

Wuyi Rock

Wuyi Rock Tea, widely regarded as one of the finest dark oolongs available, and a consistent favorite among tea connoisseurs. Cultivated from the stunning Wuyi Mountains in Nanping Prefecture, a region recognized by UNESCO for its incredible biological diversity and conservation efforts, this tea is harvested in small quantities to ensure the health of the plants. The unique chocolatey and earthy aroma, along with its complex flavor profile, is a testament to the exceptional climate and soil conditions of the area, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Not only is Wuyi Rock Tea a treat for the taste buds, but studies have also shown that regular consumption of oolong tea may offer various health benefits such as reducing body weight and fat tissue, lowering bad cholesterol levels, and increasing energy expenditure. This tea contains both caffeine and L-theanine, which work in tandem to provide alertness while simultaneously promoting a sense of calm.

To unlock the full potential of this tea, we recommend experimenting with different brewing styles, temperatures, water-leaf ratios, and steeping times to discover your perfect cup. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the exceptional flavor and benefits of Wuyi Rock Tea.

This is a bold and flavourful tea that I first heard about in a BBC documentary, “One Cup A Thousand Stories.”
Not many tea companies stock it, but it was well worth tracking down.
If you like strong tea, this is the one for you. It has a very significant fragrance, but instead of floral notes such as you get in an Earl Grey, this tea has a damp and earthy smell that, to be frank, isn’t what you might be expecting from tea.
But this characteristic just adds to the whole experience of drinking this tea.
If you are seeking a new and unique tea, this is definitely worth trying.
I hope you enjoy it!

I love this tea, out of my whole order it is turning out to be my favorite. It’s got that earthy subtle chocolatiness on the first infusion that I’ve been searching for. Very impressed with the quality of Shanti Tea and the customer service was spot on as well.
