Read MorePassionflower is widely used for its anti-anxiety properties. Passion flower tea is a very effective herb to naturally relax and calm the central nervous system. It has been shown to stimulate gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is a relaxing neurotransmitter in the brain. It is known to help to relieve stress, tension, nervousness, irritable bowel syndrome and promote sleep. It has also been used to help relieve tension associated with smoking withdrawal, thus easing the transition of smoking cessation. Please note: This is whole passionflower, meaning it has not been cut or processed. It includes longer leaves and stems, which is the plant’s natural form. While it may look different from cut or sifted passionflower, it delivers the same soothing properties and mild, earthy flavor. Whole passionflower is often preferred by traditional herbalists and those who enjoy brewing with more natural, unrefined herbs. Brewing suggestion: Use approximately 1–2 teaspoons per cup of water. Simmer gently for 10–15 minutes, then strain and enjoy. You can also steep it as an infusion using a teapot or tea infuser. Sweeten with honey or blend with other calming herbs like lemon balm or chamomile if desired.
