Six fresh teas for spring
Spring is in the air! For those of us in colder climates, that means emerging from our winter caves, cautiously dusting off our lighter jackets and finally seeing the sun.
Read MoreRosehips are the fruit of the wild rose plant. They are an excellent source of vitamin C and other antioxidants.
Rosehips have a tart, sour flavor that is somewhat similar to cranberries. Some people compare the flavor to a combination of apples and plums. The flavor of rosehips can vary depending on the variety, but they are generally sour, astringent, and slightly sweet.
You can make a delicious tea by combining rosehips and other herbs. To make the tea, steep 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried rosehips in 1 cup of boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes. If you'd like a stronger flavor, let the mixture steep for a longer duration. You can also add other herbs such as chamomile, lavender, or cinnamon to enhance the flavor of the tea. Enjoy!
